Upon meeting as students at Reading University, The Will McCrea Trio formed in early 2023 and found a unique enjoyment for traditional jazz ensemble playing. Through various meetings with each other across the UOR Music Society’s ensembles, the three began rehearsing and gigging straight away. Since then, it has been exceptionally rewarding for Will (piano), Matt (bass), and James (drums) to be playing in-and-around Reading. We have always enjoyed sharing our love for jazz and hope to do so just as much at Are You Listening 2025!
