Masquerader

Based in Reading, Masquerader are a contrast of noisy experimental electronics and a live-instrument rhythm section that balances tricky time signatures with moshpit energy.

Drawing influences from post-hardcore punk, math-rock, noise-rock, and alt hip-hop, the band create a raw portrait of the friction against their musical and emotional discomfort – referencing acts like Clipping., Death Grips, Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Glassjaw and Tool.

Forgoing lead guitars, they embrace a sparse and stripped-back dynamic as a three-piece – filling the sonic void with angular synths and samples, and lyrically firing from the hip at the world’s shortcomings.
