Hailin’ from the Kennet Delta, the Riverbilly sound of Dolly and the Clothespegs has become something of a Reading institution; their 17 years of existence has seen over 25 musicians in and out (and sometimes in again and then out again) in a ‘never the same line-up twice’ sort of band. Appealing to all ages, their toe tapping, ole timey, knees-up, hillbilly dancin’ tunes of yesteryear compliment covers from a diverse range – Donna Summer, Beyoncé and Motörhead. Support slots over the years have seen the band play with The Mekons, The Coal Porters, The Blockheads, Chas ‘n’ Dave and most recently The Wurzels.
