Indie rock outfit Playing Fields formed in 2019 by four students at University of West London. The collective are known for their ability to sensitively fuse together their contrasting influences; merging indie guitars, psychedelic tones, trip-hop bass and jazz inspired rhythm.
Since self-releasing their debut single ‘Call the Shots’ in June 2022, Playing Fields have since been developing and honing their sound for future releases. Playing Fields have supported bands such as Feet, Field Music and Larry Pink (Laurie from Slaves) and had radio airplay on BBC Introducing, BBC Berkshire and Amazing Radio. Their follow up single ‘Palm Trees’ (released in March 2023) shows a shift in taste and maturing of their sound – the band are now working on an EP of material to be released later in the year with a broad range of influences.
