‘Mixes the intimacy and melody of folk, with the slacker scuzz of grunge…(recalling) KD Lang and Cat Power’ – Nightshift Magazine.
Aphra (Molly) combines guitar and dreamy but pure vocals, with poetic lyrics of beauty way beyond her years, as evidenced on her self released debut ‘The Night Dances’ EP (inspired by a poem by Sylvia Plath from the anthology ‘Ariel’) which she released aged just 17. Vocally she has been compared favourably to Daughter’s Elena Tonra.
Prior to the EP, Aphra enjoyed a series of successful gig and festival appearances including performances at both the ‘If Not Now, When?’ and ‘Ritual Union’ festivals, and supported Richard Walters at New College Chapel for the tenth anniversary of his debut album.
